Judging:
Judging begins as soon as you arrive:
All contestants will be judged on the following criteria:
Attire: Have you captured the essence of the era you are portraying? Detail is the key.
Personality: We are looking for those that exemplify true beauty - inside and out! Get ready to shine!
Crowd Response: Did you capture the audience’s hearts? What was your interaction with our exhibitors, attendees, and car owners? How will they remember you? Be memorable!
Schedule:
Arrival: 9:00am - 9:30am
We will let the Contestants know the designated location for the ‘Get-To-Know-You’ Morning Mingle that will happen upon arrival and before the event starts.
Final instructions will be given out at this time.
Event Timeline: 10:00am - 4:00pm
10:00am - 11:00am - Interaction with festival car show participants and visitors
11:00am - 11:30am - Break
11:30am - 12:30pm - Interaction with festival car show participants and visitors
12:30pm - 1:00pm - Break
The Contestants will be expected to interact with the public, vendors and car show participants before the stage portion of the event. They will then have an opportunity to mingle and take pictures with patrons and a selection of classic cars that will be in attendance. This will be part of the judging evaluation. Contestants will be judged on their congeniality. Judges will be watching and monitoring each contestant’s ability to be kind, have fun, and interact with the other contestants. Let your inner beauty shine!
The contestants will have an opportunity to rest and have a bite to eat in a private location. There will be a station to touch up makeup and hair if needed.
1:00pm - 2:00pm - Main Stage for Final Judging and Crowning
Contestants will be introduced to the audience by their “stage name” and one fun fact about herself showing the judges their inner and outer beauty in their chosen style.
The Top 5 Finalists will be announced to the audience and will be asked 1 out of 3 possible questions, (Questions will be provided ahead of time in the Contestant Information Package) which will be evaluated by the judges.
2:00pm - Crowning of Miss Wheels on the Danforth 2024 and her court
All Contestants will gather in front of the Main Stage and the Top 5 will be on stage where the first, second and third place winners to be announced.
Crowning and photo opportunities will follow.
The Top 3 Winners will be expected to remain for more photo opportunities with the Car Show Winners beginning immediately after the Crowning.
